Team Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS riders, Tito Rabat and Jack Miller, head to Austria and round 11 of the 2017 MotoGP World Championship with renewed confidence, after completing a positive one-day test at Brno.

Rabat focussed on chassis set up today, evaluating changes to both the balance and geometry of his Honda RC213V, as he worked to improve drive and traction out of the corners. A significant improvement in this area saw the Moto2 World Champion break into the 1'56s bracket for the first time.

In addition Rabat modified slightly both his riding style and his position on the bike to bring more stability under braking, which will be critical at next weekend's Austrian Grand Prix, with the Red Bull Ring featuring many hard braking areas.

Miller and his crew used today's test as an opportunity to work on increasing rear grip, which has been an issue for the Australian in recent races, and to improve turning performance.

The test also allowed Miller more time to readapt to the demands of his Honda RC213V, having spent the summer break testing and racing a superbike at the Suzuki Eight-Hours, as well as evaluating two new tyres from Michelin, one front and one rear.

Miller declared himself satisfied with progress made during today's test, which he finished with a time of 1'56.634, placing him 13th on the timesheet and just over a second off the fastest time of the day.

Tito Rabat: 12th – 1'56.535 – 68 Laps

We made a big step forward on corner exit, finally figuring out how to get the bike to drive out of the turn on the gas, rather than losing traction by spinning up the rear tyre. This is so important, because it's where I've struggled the most since stepping up to MotoGP last season. I want to say thank you to my crew for all their hard work, not just today but throughout the year, as now I go to the next race in Austria in a more confident frame of mind. It was a productive test with a lot of laps and a big improvement in both feeling and lap time. I'm happy with what we achieved here today.”

Jack Miller: 13th – 1'56.634 – 47 Laps
“Today was mostly about rediscovering the feeling on the MotoGP bike and Michelin tyres after picking up some bad habits on the superbike in Suzuka! Overall it was a really positive test here for us, with some consistent lap times and really good pace on the medium tyre, so I'm happy. We also spent some time working on the geometry in preparation for Austria next weekend, where late braking is critical. I have slightly less than fond memories after the track did a number on me last year, but I'm excited to go back.”
