The Elf Marc VDS Racing Team has travelled over the border from the Netherlands into Germany for round nine in 2024, with Tony Arbolino looking forward to the unique challenge of the tight and twisty Sachsenring this weekend.

• Arbolino is hoping to lead a full-strength Elf Marc VDS Racing squad this weekend, with Filip Salac making excellent progress in his recovery from injuries sustained in a fall during Practice in Assen less than one week ago. The Czech rider’s participation in the Grand Prix of Germany is subject to a medical assessment on Friday morning.
• The action in advance of a three-week summer break starts at 950am local time with the opening Practice session before racing on the short Sachsenring is due to get underway at 1215pm on Sunday afternoon over 25 laps.

• With confidence and motivation boosted by a season best sixth place last weekend in the iconic Dutch TT, Arbolino is optimistic he can be in the hunt for another top result at the anti-clockwise Sachsenring.
• The German venue is dominated by left-hand turns, but Arbolino found the compact 3.671km layout to his liking last season when he finished second from second on the grid.
• Prior to his excellent podium at the shortest track on the calendar 12 months ago, Arbolino’s previous best result in the Grand Prix of Germany was a 10^th position two years ago in 2022.

“I’m feeling really good and really confident after the positive weekend we had in Assen, which gave everybody a boost inside the garage. It shows that all our hard work is starting to pay off and everybody was happy that we are coming closer to showing our true level. Now we head to a very different track in Sachsenring where it is going to be important to keep the momentum going into the summer break. We bring a lot of positive vibes to Germany, and I think we have the potential to make another big step to bring us back to the front.”
