Lowes determined to continue strong run in Most

Round five in the 2025 WorldSBK Championship takes place at the Most track in the Czech Republic this weekend, with Elf Marc VDS Racing Team rider Sam Lowes aiming to be one of the main protagonists once again

The Autodrom Most first joined the WorldSBK schedule in 2021 and with 21 turns crammed into a 4.21km layout its challenging design provides a unique test for Lowes on board his Ducati Panigale V4R machine.

Located less than a 90-minute drive away from the beautiful city of Prague, Lowes will take to the track in Most for the first time on Friday morning with FP1 kicking off the action at 1035am local time.

Seven top six finishes in the opening four rounds of 2025 including a maiden podium and pole position see Lowes ready to deliver another big points haul in Most this weekend.

A physically draining illness during the previous round at Cremona couldn’t prevent Lowes racing to a stunning double top five finish in the Superpole Race and Race 2, and now back to full strength he can’t wait to make his second outing in Most.

The 34-year-old is hoping to create better memories of Most this year after he suffered a painful Sunday on his debut at the Czech venue in sweltering heat last July.

Lowes was left nursing a fractured left collarbone after a crash out of top 10 contention in the Superpole battle after he’d taken the chequered flag in a battling 12th in Race 1.

With momentum on the side of in-form Lowes heading into this weekend, the Briton has the clear target of being in the mix for the podium to consolidate his place in the top six of the overall standings.

“It will be important to keep the momentum going”

“I’m ready to return to Most and my focus is on performing well again just like we have been doing in the first part of the season. I was there for the first time last season and obviously things didn’t go so well with me picking up an injury which had a real impact on the rest of the year. The crash and injury weren’t the ideal way to finish last year, and I feel I have a little bit of a score to settle this weekend. I have to say though that prior to the crash in the Superpole Race it was a track that I enjoyed riding at. And now we’ve built up some momentum in the first part of the season I’m looking for three more strong races to keep the ball rolling.”
