Lowes looks to conjure up more Motorland magic
Sam Lowes is hoping past success at the MotorLand Aragon track in Spain can inspire him and the Elf Marc VDS Racing Team to a successful outing in round 10 of the WorldSBK Championship.
- Aragon is one of the 34-year-old’s favourite tracks and expectations are high after he completed a very positive and productive one day test session on board the Ducati Panigale V4 R there earlier this month.
- During his Moto2 career, Lowes enjoyed great success at Aragon with victories in 2016 and a double win in 2020, with a third place in 2015 also part of his impressive CV at the track near the historic town of Alcaniz.
- The action gets underway at 1020am local time on Friday morning for FP1.
“Aragon holds very special memories for me”
“Aragon is a round that I’ve been looking forward to ever since the calendar was confirmed because it is a track that I love. I had some of my best races at Aragon in Moto2 and it is a track that holds some very special memories for me. Going there in WorldSBK is obviously going to be a new experience and new challenge but I feel ready. The good thing is we tested there recently, and I felt strong on the bike and that gives me confidence going into the weekend. I’m ready to enjoy the weekend and continue making progress.”
