Mike di Meglio looking forward to starting the FIM Enel MotoE Cup

The French rider of Team Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS has prepared himself thoroughly for a successful debut when the second edition of the FIM Enel MotoE Cup starts this weekend at the Jerez-Angel Nieto Circuit.

  • The Jerez track hosts the start of the second season of competition for electric motorcycles. Despite having been the venue for pre-season testing back in February, the circuit has not yet hosted any official races in the category.
  • In 2020, following the restructuring of the calendar, the FIM Enel MotoE Cup will be contested over seven races split across five weekends and three different venues (Jerez, Misano and Le Mans).
  • Mike Di Meglio will represent the colours of Team Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS for the second consecutive year. Last year he took one victory, one other podium and a pole position to finish fifth in the final standings.

/// MIKE DI MEGLIO:

“My goal this year is to be consistently in the top three.”

“I’m very motivated and impatient to start the competition. I’ve prepared well during this time. It’s been a long time, but this break has allowed me to work on things I don’t normally have time for. The pre-season tests we did at Jerez went well, so I am optimistic. Also, the extra training sessions planned for Wednesday will help us a lot to work on the base set-up and prepare well for the official practice sessions and the race. My goal this year is to be consistently in the top three. We need to concentrate in every race to always get the maximum points that will allow us to go for the title of MotoE champion.”
