Marc Van der Straten:
“It is a pleasure to announce Mike Di Meglio as our rider next season in the FIM Enel MotoE World Cup. As soon as we decided to participate in MotoE alongside our long-standing commitment to the Moto2 World Championship, we thought that Mike was a great option to ride the electric motorcycle. He has great experience and retains a great desire to win. We contacted him and it was great that he agreed to join our new project. We will start a new adventure together that I think will be very successful and we will give our maximum to ensure he has the best possible support available.”
Mike Di Meglio:
“It’s a great pleasure for me to be joining Marc VDS Racing and I am very proud to be part of this exciting new project. I know the potential of this team because they have always demonstrated they are strong and fighting for the victory in every category they have entered. The FIM Enel MotoE World Cup is a new challenge and it will be important to have a strong team behind you, and that’s exactly what I have. It is going to be interesting to see how this new series evolves but I think it will be very exciting because everybody is competing on the same machinery. I am looking forward to this new challenge and hopefully I can bring more success to Marc VDS Racing like they have enjoyed in the past in MotoGP and Moto2.”
